Creating a Proposal
Voting power
Sigprop vs. Coreprop
Getting whitelisted on Snapshot
The governance process of AavegotchiDAO is generally a three-step process:
Proposal Flow
Step 1: Discussion
Begin a new discussion in the AavegotchiDAO Forum. Currently, this forum is located in the official Aavegotchi Discord.
Step 2: Signal Proposal (SigProp)
After a period of discussion and engagement, if there is support for the proposal, create a Signal Proposal on Snapshot.
All Proposals posted on the Aavegotchi Snapshot must follow the Proposal Template (see below).
Proposals not following the Template will be deleted without warning.
To prevent spam in Snapshot, all proposers must get allowlisted. Please make a support ticket in the Aavegotchi Discord to get on the allowlist.
Step 3: Core Proposal (CoreProp)
If a Signal Proposal reaches quorum and passes with sufficient Voting Differential (see below), it will be upgraded by the Aavegotchi team to a Core Proposal.
The current quorum for all proposals, both Sigprop and Coreprop, is 9 million.
Step 4: Implementation
If the CoreProp reaches quorum and is successful, it should be implemented in a timely manner by either the Pixelcraft Studios team, the AavegotchiDAO directors, or the individual/team cited in the prop.
Vote Differential
To prevent close ties on controversial votes, AavegotchiDAO enforces a vote differential rule, whereby votes with multiple options must pass by a certain threshold. This helps ensure that true consensus has been made.
The vote differential rules are:
2 options: 10%
3 options: 15%
4 options: 20%
For example, a vote with 2 options must have at least a 10% difference between YAE and NAE for the vote to pass, even if quorum is met.
Proposal Guidelines
All proposals in AavegotchiDAO should adhere to the basic guidelines below.
Include Author + Gotchi ID at the top of the proposal

Proposals not following the Template will be deleted by mods without warning.
Suggestions for Proposers
Allow for sufficient time to reach quorum. The recommended duration of a SigProp/CoreProp is 7-10 days.
Be prepared to engage in sincere debate with the Aavegotchi community, and show us why your proposal is worth passing.
Visit the AavegotchiDAO Forum at forum.aavegotchi.com (http://forum.aavegotchi.com/) to discuss your proposal with the community. This is essential for getting feedback and gauging support for your idea.
If your signal proposal is successful and reaches a 20% quorum, it can be upgraded to a Core Proposal (CoreProp). A CoreProp requires a 20% quorum of circulating GHST tokens eligible to vote on Polygon at the time of proposal creation.
Once a Core Proposal is created, vote on it using Snapshot. To vote, connect your web3 wallet, read the proposal and discussion, select your choice, and sign the transaction.
If the Core Proposal reaches quorum, XP will be sent to all voting wallets' Aavegotchis, regardless of which side of the results one is on.
Remember, before creating a vote on Snapshot, ensure you have thoroughly read the blog post and are abiding by the Signal Proposal Template found within.
