Aavegotchi is a radical experiment in player-owned gaming economies.

We envision a world: 

* where all the items you earn in a game are shared across every game you play; 
* where the line between gamer and developer is blurred; 
* where players truly own the assets they have earned

## Our Vision

To create an interoperable, player-owned gaming ecosystem that educates, entertains, and empowers players to join the growing onchain economy. 

## Our goals

* **Educate.** Teach players about decentralized finance and provide a fun and accessible way for people to learn about and participate in the onchain economy. 
* **Entertain.** Create games and content that players enjoy playing and supporting. 
* **Empower.** Give players the tools to create their own gaming content, and become active creators in the onchain economy, not just passive consumers.

There are many ways you can participate in the burgeoning Aavegotchi gaming ecosystem:

* **Play our** [**games**](https://docs.aavegotchi.com/gaming/live-games)**.** A growing catalogue of games offers players novel crypto experiences and ways to "play and earn" -- having fun while [earning crypto](https://docs.aavegotchi.com/own/earning-in-aavegotchi).
* **Participate in DAO governance.** Holding Aavegotchi [assets](https://docs.aavegotchi.com/gaming/assets) gives players power to help steer the direction of the protocol and make decisions, both big and small.
* **Attend our events.** We regularly hold events, both online and offline. Join, say hi, and maybe even cop some exclusive Aavegotchi merch!
* **Build something**. Whatever your skillset, there's a way you can contribute to our ecosystem, whether it's building games, developing dapps, constructing dashboards, or simply helping us organize information better.
